Founded in 1976 and headquartered in Toulouse, France, the Eqwal Group is a global prosthetics and orthotics patient care services provider, employing over 2,700 people with clinics across Europe and the USA.  Eqwal is also a global leader in 3D printing solutions and CAD/CAM systems.  Joining Eqwal will provide Spinal Technology access to new markets and the opportunity to deliver continuous innovation across its product portfolio.

Founded in 1991, Spinal Technology is the global leader in the design and custom fabrication of Spinal Orthoses, for the stabilization, immobilization, and correction of various abnormalities of the spine. The company specializes in the treatment of Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis.

With the help of over 100 employees working on two facilities (located in the United States – West Yarmouth and Louisville), Spinal Technology can provide custom fabrication services to practitioners across the United States and around the world.

The company maintains expertise in various scoliosis bracing methodologies and remains on the forefront of research and development, particularly in 3D scanning and CAD/CAM technologies.

Spinal Technology's advanced research coupled with highly experienced manufacturing staff will enable Eqwal to optimize cost efficient supply chain for Eqwal Clinics worldwide, benefit from the C-Fab for U.S. O&P network and have internal educational and technical support/training opportunities across all sectors.

Jean-Pierre Mahé, CEO of Eqwal said: “Incontestably, Spinal Technology is the American leader in custom-made orthopedic spinal devices. Today, its reputation extends well beyond American borders. This success is partly attributed to Spinal Technology's unique positioning in its market. Indeed, Spinal Technology has not merely been a remarkable manufacturing hub but has also integrated itself into the patient care journey by cultivating close partnership relationships with its customers. This distinctive and disruptive approach, aimed at achieving excellence for the patient, has naturally led us to consider Spinal Technology as an essential part of the great Eqwal's project in the United States and on a global scale. I am delighted and proud to welcome Spinal Technology's teams into Eqwal. I am convinced that Spinal Technology will contribute to Eqwal's growth just as much as Eqwal will contribute to the growth of Spinal Technology. “
