With warmer weather comes the need to clean your brace more frequently. Many patients are in their brace 21+ hours a day. You want to keep your brace looking (and smelling) good.
Use clean hands when touching your brace. While straps and pads are replaced periodically, it's important to keep them clean in between replacements. Use a small amount of rubbing alcohol or an antibacterial wipe to gently wipe down your brace. You can also use a little soap and water, but don't immerse your brace in water.
